Welcome to the Bella Via Design Spring Home tour!

Today I will be sharing some ideas I use to refresh my home for the spring season! There is nothing like that feeling of stepping out on that first day you feel the hint of spring in the air and warm sun finally on your skin after a long cold winter. This is the best time to add some touches inside to make your home feel brighter and fresher to welcome on spring! The best part is, these are easy and inexpensive ideas that you can implement in your home that are sure to lift your mood and brighten your day! So, come on, let me give you a little spring inspiration!

ADD SOME GREENERY

I love seeing the first signs of spring outside with fresh tulips popping up, grass turning greener, and trees starting to bud. As the color starts coming back to nature, start adding that green back into your home! Consider both faux and real greenery in small potted plants on shelves or tables, or adding a new large plant stand or tree!

Beautiful pop of green on decorative shelves in the family room. Try out the below for adding some greenery to your space!

INVEST IN FAUX FLOWERS

I know, I know, there are those that turn their noses up to faux flowers, but hear me out! There area SOOOO many options out there now for beautiful faux flowers and stems. The caveat is, you do need to invest in quality flowers. It is possible to find deals and reasonably priced options, but look at the flowers and stems closely to see how well they match the real thing. The investment up front will be worth it as you will have your faux flowers and stems for a long time, vs. pricey real flower arrangements that do not last. This beautiful faux arrangement adds the right pop of color and warmth to our family room side table!

I love these little potted succulents- perfect size for layering with decor!

USE FRESH FLOWERING BRANCHES OR STEMS

Fresh flowers and stems hit all the senses and feels! Nothing says spring like the smell of fresh cut flowers in a vase or the silky feel of flowering branches making a statement centerpiece on your dining table. If you have any flowering plants in your garden, head out there with your garden scissors and go to town! Not quite the green thumb? Try checking out your local nursery for scrap flowering tree branches, or flowers! Also, don’t forget your local grocery store florist. Sometimes you can snag some beautiful spring flower arrangements at great prices!

LOVE these cherry blossom branches that I used in my entryway. They are super realistic and full. They come in the pink as shown above, or white.

ADD NEW SPRING TEXTILES: PILLOWS, SHEET AND BEDDING SETS, OR THROWS!

I have to admit it, I am a pillow addict…. I just love how decorative pillows can easily add new texture, pattern, and color to a space. For spring, consider using pillows to add a new pop of spring color, or even a new fresh texture or pattern to your space. I LOVE these new spring pillows I found for our family room! You can also add a pop of spring by changing up your bedding to a fresh new pattern, or color. When mixing florals in bedding, I like to mix a small floral print with stripes.

These geometric pillows have just the right touch of light blue tone that feels light, crips, and fresh. I love using large natural fiber baskets to store extra pillows to pull out when needed.

Look for light and airy prints, or change it up to a crisp white or blush toned comforter to bring the spring feel into your bedding!

ADD IN A SPRNG COLOR IN DECOR

When decorating, you should have a color scheme throughout your space, and if you have an open floor plan, this color scheme should be present throughout your home. When adding in spring decor, consider adding a fun pop of color to your color scheme in places like shelf decor, table decor, and flower arrangements. Try to repeat this color pop around your space so it feels consistent. I have a lot of whites, blues, and wood tones in my first floor. I like adding in touches of blush tones and pops of yellow in the spring!

CHANGE IT UP

The change of seasons can be a great time to change up your living space! Have you been considering a different furniture arrangement, go ahead and try it! Try out decor items in different places on shelves or table tops. Change out your area rug, or layer your rug over a natural jute fiber rug to create a brighter, spring and summery look! These little changes in the places we see everyday can really help you to feel renewed, revitalized, and lift your spirits!

Now get out there and start getting your home spring ready! Me…I am going to go put on some flip flops and enjoy the sun!
